it is my unscientific conclusion that, in general, women have more iron in their nose .. thus they are rarely lost. just align yourself to the true magnetic north pole.

so here's the deal: due to the various recommendations for women to take iron supplement (men don't need to because sufficient amount of iron is absorbed from food), women generally do have more iron in their system (at least women in developed countries). more here: http://www.seniorworld.com/articles/a19980420095257.html
