and the swing kid hits the lights

yesterday was your birthday.

i'll blow you a kiss... it should reach you tomorrow...

i went to absinthe last night for their wednesday night motown thang. it was a good time. being the only sober person in a gigantic group of girating bodies made me feel a bit like alice in wonderland. everyone was talking and walking in half-time and i couldn't hear them or understand them. it's like being in a dream. i saw a lot of people that i know- which is one of the things that's so weird about this city. it's not that you're friends with any of them necessarily- but you see them EVERYWHERE; the grocery store, the cinema, bars, clubs, in the park... hamilton is the real-life twilight zone.

today i slept until three, for no reason at all.

you know- it's hard to feel like you're living life to the fullest when the day is already half over and you're just waking up. i probably would have stayed in bed for longer if my sister hadn't phoned me to tell me all about her awful day at work on tuesday. i said maybe five words in the half-hour that she was talking. she's so hilarious- it just kills me.

tomorrow: lunch with kelly.
saturday: euchrefest at tabi's.

12 days: until you're back on solid ground.

Mmmmm... Sleeping until three.

You're not going to see Matt G tomorrow?

Interesting enough I had a similar experience when I drank absinthe.

Not really, but if it's good enough for the likes of Poe and Wilde then, by God, it's good enough for me.

waterloo isn't too much different from hamilton for the running into people thing apparently...although you tend to learn the more frequent places to run into people and can avoid them if necessary.

and like Nick said, no MG tomorrow? I missed out on tickets too, kicking myself now. can't frown upon euchre though i guess.

mg is sold out.

it just kills me how no one seems to know who the hell he is when i'm wearing the t-shirt and yet his shows in this area consistently sell out in about ten seconds.

grrr....yarrrg

aaron: he played 'hurt'? i am now officially irate. the shows that i've been to have been great, don't get me wrong; but it always seems that he does something extra special during the shows that i miss, as if to celebrate my absence or some horrendous thing.

rrramone: it's 8 days now. a certain prodigal someone returns from england.

yea, i'm disappointed too, but its actually in the setlist for a couple other shows this tour too, so maybe just MAYBE i'll get to see it done if he ever re-schedules the other Loo show that got cancelled. That one was never sold out either, so you might have a shot at tickets still.
